In/With/Of: The Body of Christ

membership at BLC

In the book of 1 Corinthians we are taught some important things about what it means to be members of the Church.

"For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body..." (1 Cor. 12:13)
"If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored all rejoice together with it." (1 Cor. 12:26)
"Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it." (1 Cor. 12:27)

We are IN the body of Christ through God's grace given to us through Bapitsm. We are WITH each other in the body of Christ as we live and work in Jesus' name together. And we are OF Christ despite all the things that would seek to cause us to forget our true identity.

As you explore what it means to a part of our congregation we want you to consider the ways you are IN/WITH/OF the body of Christ and pray about what that looks like in our community.

We are looking forward to hearing from you! If you have any questions now please contact the church office.
